The problem is that search behavior, competition and the demands for relevant content have changed. As a result, approaches that worked in the past don&#8217;t always work today.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What worked in the past is not always enough today  <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traditional SEO has often been about:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>individual keywords  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>easier page optimization  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ongoing content without a clear structure  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ex-post technical adjustments  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is rarely enough to create sustainable visibility.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">SEO is more about intent than individual keywords  <\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, customers search with questions. They compare options and expect clear, relevant answers. SEO therefore needs to be based on what the user actually wants to know &#8211; not just what words are used.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Structure is part of visibility  <\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Visibility is also affected by how content is connected:  <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>clear page structure  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>internal linking  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>logical content hierarchy  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FAQs and content that responds to multiple stages of the customer journey  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Structure helps both the visitor and Google to understand the context.  <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visibility needs to be linked to business  <\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Traffic is not an end in itself. The goal is the right traffic that leads further. SEO therefore needs to be linked to business goals, next steps and actual benefit.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Questions to ask internally  <\/h2>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>When did we last update our SEO strategy?  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do we know what our customers are actually searching for?  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do we have content that responds to the whole customer journey?  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Does the traffic lead to anything concrete?  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SEO 2026 is not about doing more of the same.
