It is also important to create a privacy policy or personal data policy that must be accessible on a website and to all data subjects after May 25. \n\nBut maybe you&#8217;ve already done all of this and you feel like you can sit back and relax? Unfortunately, it&#8217;s not that simple, there&#8217;s still a lot to think about! \n\nNow is the time to create procedures and guidelines for how personal data should be handled in the organization, and assistance agreements must be written to ensure that third parties process your data correctly! Other measures that must be implemented are the thinning of data and updating of processes and the implementation of new procedures.\n\nIt also means that employees need to be trained and a responsible person or group should be appointed to take on the role of data controller or data protection officer. This role should be able to answer questions that the organization has. \n\nQuestions we often receive from customers that a data controller should be able to answer:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Do we now have to delete our entire email archive as we suspect it may contain sensitive personal data?<\/li>\n \t<li>How should we handle personal data on company mobile phones that employees use both for private and professional purposes?<\/li>\n \t<li>We have consents from our customers but not all of them are documented, do we now have to send out new consent forms to all our customers?<\/li>\n \t<li>We have records of all our members, including those who are no longer with us but we contact them every 10 years for reunion information. Do we now have to delete all these former members? <\/li>\n \t<li>Do employers have the right to read employees&#8217; emails?<\/li>\n \t<li>We are a small company but do we still need to appoint a Data Protection Officer?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\nDo you need support and help to train staff and get answers to questions like these?
