In 2018, Unicus and CoreIT signed a cooperation agreement under which test consultants from Unicus will test each release of the eSumIT system that CoreIT develops and sells on the Nordic market. For Unicus, this is an important step towards letting even more people with Asperger’s into the labor market. For CoreIT, it means an opportunity to raise the quality of the system to its customers while also taking social responsibility.
“For us at CoreIT, the collaboration with Unicus is positive in several ways. Independent tests mean a quality stamp for the system, but it is also a way for us to work with social responsibility in a very concrete way. At the same time as we raise the quality of our system, we contribute to opening the door to the labor market for people with Asperger’s,” says Per Eriksson, who works as a project manager at CoreIT.
The collaboration with CoreIT makes it possible for consultants who do their initial training at Unicus to train on real cases, which of course is perceived as more meaningful for the individual. Since system tests of this type are location-independent, it means that Unicus, when more collaborations are established, can also offer work to people who, for various reasons, cannot sit out at the customer.
“Since both new and experienced consultants at Unicus will be working on testing eSumIT, more eyes than those CoreIT actually pays for will be looking at the system. Our consultant manager Malin Allard, who handles the customer dialog and works closely with our testers, is also an important part of the delivery,” says Anders Barnå, CEO of Unicus.
