Julia and Tilda Johansson are two determined biathlon girls who CoreIT has chosen to sponsor in their careers. It all started with their family’s interest in skiing. When they were 10-11 years old, they got to try biathlon in Bredbyn through school and then they were hooked on the sport. Both girls have gone on to study at their respective biathlon high schools (Sollefteå and Torsby) where they are studying for 4 years. Tilda has just finished her education and Julia is about to start her third year. In their careers, they have both won several Swedish championship golds and also won a Swedish Cup each.
Best memories
Tilda says that in addition to the Swedish Championship gold, the experiences from the Junior European Championships in Norway and the IBU Cup are of course lasting memories. Julia remembers the World Championships in Slovakia as her highlight. It was a powerful feeling to get there and see all the people and the great organization. She has never shot as well as she did then, but unfortunately she fell ill during the competition, which meant that she didn’t finish first.

Sponsorship is important
Biathlon is not just about the cost of skis and boots. A lot of money is spent on ammunition, materials for summer training such as roller skis and pole tips, travel and camps. In the Sweden Cup, they travel all over Sweden and the car trips are often between 1-8 hours. Julia and Tilda are very grateful that CoreIT wants to sponsor them. “It means a lot for your self-esteem to get that confirmation and you are strengthened by the fact that there are others who believe in you” says Tilda.
