Protect your domain and email
Email is one of the most common routes for attacks - so active and thoughtful protection is needed.
CoreIT currently offers two different services for more secure email management.
“Managed email security“ means effective protection against viruses and spam.
“Managed DMARC security“ means you can automatically defend your domain and brand against phishing and spoofing attacks.
Managed email security
Secure incoming and outgoing emails against viruses and spam.
Having good security practices around company email is a necessity today. Poor management can cause great damage to the company because e-mail is an easy way in for an intruder who wants to steal information. With a spam filter, you can effectively protect emails against viruses and spam.
Virus protection
Emails with identified malware/virus are removed
Spam protection
Emails identified as spam are deleted
Quarantine
Emails that could possibly be spam are quarantined
The service is based on a solution from Halon that includes “Multi-tier spam, Phishing, Virus and ransomware protection” from the suppliers Cyren and Sophos. In addition, we have included technology for “IP & Content dataset protection” from the supplier Spamhaus Technology, which is integrated into the solution. The purpose is to create several different layers of protection as all suppliers are in different phases in what they have discovered for known threats at the moment.
Spam filter specification
The service refers to mail cleaning for incoming and outgoing traffic where all e-mail passes through CoreIT’s solution for filtering spam, viruses and other malicious software. Through an easy-to-use console, you get an overview of all emails that have passed through the encryption and the opportunity to create your own “allow and block” lists.
The service includes:
- License per protected mailbox
- Central platform for specified domains
- User support for questions about quarantined emails
- Support to the user in case of missing (undelivered) emails
- Add senders to permission lists that the user wants to receive, but that the protection has stopped for some reason

The solution to total email protection
Sendmarc’s solution is based on the globally recognized email authentication standard, DMARC, which is supported by the vast majority of leading email providers worldwide. There are five main phases to achieve and maintain full protection on your domain. Each phase has a set of implementation steps with clearly defined outcomes. Each phase is designed to securely configure your sending infrastructure to send fully authenticated email while minimizing the risk of legitimate email being blocked. With your domain authenticated, the deliverability of your transactional and marketing messages will see a significant increase.
Phase 1: Monitoring & Analysis
The first phase of the project involves setting up reporting that Sendmarc can monitor and analyze which servers are sending email from your domain. This phase aims to create a map of your sending infrastructure and determine the scope of the configuration required for phase 2. This analysis will allow us to create an action plan to configure authorized senders.
Phase 2: Authorize Senders
Based on the report produced in Phase 1, Sendmarc will guide the configuration of the sending infrastructure to authenticate all legitimate email senders. Legitimate senders can be employees, email providers or other third party senders, all of which must be configured correctly. This phase aims to get these senders identified and authenticated so that we can move on to phase 3 and start quarantining unauthorized emails.
Phase 3: Quarantine
Once the reporting shows that all legitimate senders have been configured correctly, Sendmarc starts quarantining a certain percentage of unauthenticated emails. In this phase, we aim to reach 100% quarantine without negatively affecting legitimate sources. We will closely monitor all quarantine actions and react accordingly to ensure there are no false positives.
Phase 4: Reject
After reaching the point where we can quarantine 100% of illegal emails, we can start rejecting unauthenticated emails. As in the previous phase, the goal is to reach 100%, which will ensure that there is no interference with legitimate traffic.
Phase 5: Active protection
At this point, your domain is 100% protected. However, it requires active monitoring and reporting to help you deal with threats and attacks, as well as ensure that infrastructure changes do not affect email delivery.
The following activities can be managed with our comprehensive set of tools:
- Reporting and analysis of email traffic feedback via email
- Threat detection and real-time alerts
- Automatic on-boarding of new email users and employees
- Identification of configuration issues and new infrastructure installation
